Objectives of the NCMP


Coordinate and conduct long term conservation research and education programs relating to the wild cheetah to ensure its long-term survival.

Develop conservation management plans, which are beneficial to both the cheetah and the farmer.

Promote livestock management techniques, which incorporate non-lethal predator control methods.

Monitor the movements of free roaming cheetah by means of radio-telemetry.

Build awareness among farmers, educators, students and the general public about the role of the cheetah in natural ecosystems and the need to conserve South Africa's biodiversity.

Assist and coordinate the relocation of problem causing cheetah.
